Jumpgate subsidiary gameXcite has been granted ca. 11.9 million SEK (1 079 756 EUR) in financing from German federal funds for a new game project. The financing is provided in the form of a grant to cover development costs and has been approved within the framework of the German Games Funding programme administered by the DLR Projektträger.
The project is currently not yet publicly named and is intended to build on the success and experience of gameXcite’s successful release Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown. The game was developed by gameXcite and published by Daedalic Entertainment and has become the most successful release from gameXcite and Jumpgate to date. Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown was released in February 2026 and is available on PC and consoles.
gameXcite intends to fully finance the new project in cooperation with a publishing partner and is currently in discussions with potential publishers regarding the financing and publishing structure of the project. Further information about the project, including its title, scope and publishing partner, will be announced at a later stage.
